I received my bachelors in physical therapy from University of
Miami in 1984 and am a Florida licensed physical therapist. I have practiced craniosacral therapy since 1990, and have studied and worked at the Upledger Institute together with John Upledger and colleagues. I received a masters in mental health counseling in 2012 and a Ph.D. in family therapy in 2017 from Nova Southeastern University. I am a Florida licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), certified hypnotherapist and AAMFT approved supervisor.
In my private practice I work as a physical therapist and psychotherapist. As a physical therapist I specialize in craniosacral therapy, but incorporate exercise and other adjunctive therapies. As a psychotherapist I incorporate hypnotherapy at times, as well as other modalities such as aspects of nature, meditation, mindfulness, and breathing techniques.
I teach classes in awareness of individual’s inner healing ability, meditation, and self-
hypnosis to clinicians and non-clinicians, as well as introduction to craniosacral
therapy/chakra balancing and alternatives to psychotherapy and self-care to clinicians. I
have worked as a clinician and adjunct instructor in variety of settings in America and in
Turkey, and as a clinician at a center in Germany. I presently work as an adjunct instructor at Nova Southeastern University in the family therapy program.
